Send me your serial numbers and describe your gun or include photos-my serial number is 69152. *I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can provide further information about the Rossi Princess. I’ve always thought of the Princess as a nearly ideal backup gun-very easily concealed and not much to go wrong. I did not attempt to alter the springs, as replacements are not available. I polished the sides of the hammer, the sear, the hammer stop, and the transfer bar on my gun, and lubricated everything thoroughly, but I can’t say it produced any real improvement in the double-action. However, it is more accurate than I thought it would be-in single action mode. I bought my gun from an online auction site and I remember being disappointed in the overall cheap appearance. I have noted later guns with the one line AMADEO ROSSI & CIA inscription given above on the left side of the barrel and the right side marked S. The grips are cheap checkered plastic with the Rossi name in a circle at the top. Beneath the cylinder on the right side is the importer’s name and address: FIREARMS INT’L CORP., WASHINGTON, D.C. surrounding the circle at top and bottom. The right side of the frame is stamped MADE IN BRAZIL and features the Rossi logo trademark, the word “Rossi” in a circle, with IND. My gun is marked on the left side of the barrel Later guns have the barrel inscriptions reversed. surrounding the monogram at top and bottom. On the right side of the frame is the early logo, a monogram of the company’s initials, “ ARC,” in a circle, with MADE IN BRAZIL above and IND.
I am looking at a Rossi.38 special, black metal finish with walnut or rosewood grips.

Rossi handguns are manufactured under license by Taurus.It has coil springs instead of flat springs and features an Iver Johnson-style transfer bar and a rebounding firing pin.
Externally the Princess is a copy of the third model Smith & Wesson Ladysmith, but the lockwork is quite different. Rossi firearms were later imported by Interarms, but I don’t believe they ever imported the Princess. Most examples I have seen are stamped FIREARMS INT’L CORP., WASHINGTON, D.C. I find the gun first listed in Gun Digest in 1966, where it is described as the Rossi Ladysmith, imported by Benet Arms. I could find no mention of older Rossi firearms, such as the Princess, on the company’s U. It does not appear in the Bluebook of Gun Values or the Standard Catalog of Firearms. I look forward to your input.There is virtually nothing in print about the Rossi Princess revolver. I didn't feel I could go wrong with the price. I've heard a lot of good things about them and a lot of bad. I uploaded a couple of photos to look at also. So if anybody can tell me anything about it, I'd be interested in reading what you have to say. The emblem behind the cylinder on the right side is the circle with "ROSSI" inside and on top of the circle, it has "IND.BRAS." and below the circle, it has "MARC.REG." On the right side of the barrel is ".38 Special". The serial number is located on the right side above the front end of the trigger guard "W 058096". When I open the cylinder, "M88-2" is on the crane and "W208" on the inside of the crane that drops down with the cylinder. 38 S&W Special Serial Number: D508568 Working Order: Firearm has not been tested Background Check: Required Keywords: Firearms, Guns Ref: BD1279. On the left side of the barrel it reads "Amadeo Rossi S.A." above "Sao Leopoldo R.S.". It has "Made in Brasil INTERARMS Alexandria, Virginia" on the right side above the trigger. I'm not sure how old it is or if I got a good deal. It appears to be in good condition, needs a little cleaning but it's not beat up. I think its time for you to treat yourself to the inimitable experience of Rossi factory service. 38 Special with a 2 inch barrel and wanted to find out what it might be worth. It could be binding at the forcing cone (which is permanent damage) or it could be a mechanical problem involving the cylinders, hand (which is repairable).
